In 1965, Mattel
gave to the family, a new play friend doll for Skipper. Item
no. 1090. He was called Ricky. Ricky was 9 1/4" in height.
Painted red hair mold, straight leg body-tan or pink body.
Eyes were blue, reddish brows, peach lips some blush and
some freckles. He wore a blue, red, light blue, dark blue
stripe beach jacket with a white terry cloth collar, blue
swim trunk bottoms, red cork sandals. Ricky had a wrist tag,
black wire stand for posing & SES booklet.
Head markings:
inside the rim Copr.@ 1963 Mattel, Inc.
Body markings: @ 1963/Mattel, Inc. Note: The first
issue was tan. Later issue was pink. The pink vinyl
could fade over extended period of time.
