I have included a historical summary of dolls to the mid 70's era from our perspective throughout our collecting years. These books have been very informative, sharing valuable info, and showing the collector how to id the earlier and current dolls, fashions, accessories and much more. There are many other wonderful Barbie reference books to learn more about the Barbie doll, her family and friends. Barbie's family continues to grow. We have seen the Silkstones series play a big role in bringing new collectors into the hobby. In 2009, a new line called the Barbie Basics has been adde to Barbie's family.
