This doll was designed with special hair. The hair was rooted in
2 basic colors (Midnight or Golden Blonde). The new aspect was:
By applying a color changer solution, Midnight hair changed to
Ruby Red color and the Golden Blonde hair changed to Scarlet
Flame. Hair colors could be changed back and forth over and
over. See next page for more details.
The 1st issue date was 1966, 2nd Color Magic
issue date was 1967. Both box date was 1958. Hair color: golden
blonde/scarlet flame or midnight/ruby red. Hair was below the
shoulders. uneven ends, side parted, one side held back w/one
turquoise hair clip, pulled back with a multicolor diamond print
headband, cello on head, blue eyes, blonde brows, raspberry lips and blush or pale peach or coral lips.continue
Note: Midnight Color dolls have darker
brows. Head markings: inside rim Copyr. @ 1958 Mattel Inc (same for 2nd
issue) Both had tan bendable bodies and painted nails. Barbie head
