This ponytail got a new look for her hair style this year. Swirl Barbie issued in 1964. Barbie's curly bangs were omitted. Some of the hair was styled or combed from the left side of the forehead over to the right side, then back to the rear, with a ponytail style in the back-the end being tied with a yellow hair ribbon which was secured with a bobby pin. There was no curl at the bottom. This style is the "Swirl" ponytail. This doll came in a variety of hair and lip colors. different lip and brow colors appeared on each hair color.
