Item 4042 in 1967. 1st card issue. Box dated 1966. Barbie head with short blonde or brunette hair, a wig, 3 hair trim accessories-full wig came in 3 colors. Chin length hair style with sidepart. Blue side glance eyes, rooted lashes, light brown brows, deep pink lips & blush. One dangle triangle brass earring in the left ear. TNT head. Head markings: Inside rim: @ 1966 Mattel Inc & country. Packaged contents: brunette hair pieces-crown braid on brass head w/blue roses & green leaves on either end, fashion fall long hair on blue elastic headband, braided switch long braid w/blue satin ribbon intertwined w/hair & oval brass barrette, triangle dangle earring, (same as head), plastic navy disc w/pink dangle earrings, 6 bobby pins. Made in Japan.

Item 4043. 2nd card Issue. Box dated 1968. Chin length hair style, sidepart same as the 1st issue. Rooted eyelashes, light brown brows, deep pink lips & blush. Hair: blonde or brunette. Eyes: blue. TNT head. Head markings same as 4042. 1 earring in left ear. Packaged contents: as extras: blonde hairpieces-wiglet, curly bun w/pink bun & elastic strap. Curly swirls: ringlets held in place at top w/blue barrette, switch: lock of long hair held w/pink bow, brunette flip wig small white comb & hairbrush, brass triangle dangling earring, 2 white flowers, 6 bobby pins. Made in Japan. Info: brunette head has brunette hairpieces & blonde wig. Item 4043 was made in 1974 with center glance eyes.

Head markings the same as the 1st 2 issues-inside rim- @ 1966 Mattel Inc & country Blonde head comes w/blonde hairpieces & brunette wig. Packaged: extras-brunette hairpieces: wiglet, small hairpiece w/blue bow on top & double flip curls on each side w/an elastic strap. curly swirls: ringlets held together w/blue bow. switch: lock of long hair held w/blue bow, includes blonde wig, small white comb & brush, 2 small white flowers, 8 bobby pins. Made in Japan. Different hair lengths can be found on these heads & some face paint can be seen more pronounced on some. Great heads to transform into a wonderful doll!

The Color Magic issue 1150- was still on the market in 1967 with a new open face cardboard box. This item had the same id for body markings but now all letters were raised. Also in 1967, bendable leg Skipper (item 1030), came in this new face box.
