       Be a smart buyer
 Asking the right questions

Deal with sellers whom you have worked with in the past to protect yourself from Fraud on the Internet. Don't send large sums of money for vintage toys/dolls to sellers who you do not know to avoid disappointments.

Do research by checking into references of the seller's trading practices. You can contact your local BBB Agencies for any possible wrong doings on file with a person or business. Most of these items are out there to be had, excluding rarities or store exclusives. As a buyer, give yourself a moderate pace for locating items that you so desire. I have personally located some vintage and new items several times over. If you are buying to collect for the love of the hobby, this will be a total different aspect compared to purchasing for resale, as far as the amount of money you will decide to put into an item.

It is normal for collectors, from time to time, to over pay to acquire a particular item, for their collection, due to the rarity, the limited quantity of the production, or condition; being fresh-new like, or possibly a prototype or salesman sample etc. Do not use this practice of over paying on every item that you want to collect. Be a smart trading partner yourself.

Asking questions are proper and important before completing any transaction. Favorite links more resources

Make calls. Shop around. buy from reliable sources Not one single dealer will have all your vintage or modern needs as their inventory changes. Think on the item/items before you commit to buy so there's no pressure from quick buying that you will later have to work through( be budget wise), if that applies. Remember collect for the fun of the hobby but in the meantime try general safeguards that you can use as buyer protection.
